Dubai International Stadium, Dubai, Pitch Report, Stadium Records: Pakistan vs Australia, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Semifinal

Pakistan will take on Australia in the T20 World Cup semi-final and will be riding a wave of momentum after an almost perfect tournament so far. They have been brilliant as they have won all their five matches in the Super 12 stage.

Australia, on the other hand, has had a mixed match so far. They were defeated by England, but have won the other four matches in the Super 12 stage except this result.

Pakistan will come into this match with a balanced and formidable bowling unit and can take advantage of the conditions of the offer. They will raise a lot of questions on the Australian batting order.

The story is pretty much the same for Australia as the three fast bowlers of Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins have done brilliantly for the team and have been praised by Adam Zampa.

As far as their batting is concerned, the form of Aaron Finch, David Warner and Steve Smith has improved as the tournament progresses and they are now required to open fire against Pakistan and attack their spinners in the middle overs. Glenn Maxwell is required for this.

Dubai International Stadium Pitch Report:

The Dubai pitch has been batsmen friendly in the IPL and the same is expected to happen in this match between Pakistan vs Australia. If dew comes into play, it can be difficult to bowl second and hence the captain who wins the toss needs to make a decision. There may be some help for the fast bowlers in the latter part of the match, but the onus will be on the spinners to control the pace of the game in the middle overs.
