Four drug smugglers, including a woman, have been arrested in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh and intoxicants worth one crore rupees have been recovered from them.

Saharanpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) S Channapa said that under the campaign being run against drug smugglers in Saharanpur, police station Qutubsher has arrested the accused Sameer, Mobin and Suhail.

He said the woman, identified as Maharaj, a resident of Shahjahanpur, was arrested when she was in a Swift car with a fake number plate.

The SSP said that 700 grams of illegal smack has been recovered from their possession. The value of the seized drugs is Rs 1 crore in the international market.

Channapa said that the police is probing the connections of these smugglers and their criminal history is also being probed. A case has been registered against him at Qutubsher police station.

Channapa also announced a cash reward of Rs 25,000 to the police team that carried out this operation.
