Drugs on cruise ship case: Shah Rukh’s son Aryan Khan skips NCB SIT summons citing fever

MumbaiThe Special Investigation Team of the Narcotics Control Bureau on Sunday (November 7) summoned Aryan Khan in connection with the drugs case in the cruise ship case. However, the 23-year-old failed to appear before the authorities. According to a report in PTI, Aryan, who is the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, dropped the summon citing fever.

The anti-drug law enforcement agency had issued summons to Aryan asking him to appear before the authorities on the same day. An NCB official said, “But he did not appear before the SIT officials citing fever.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to probe six cases, including the much-hyped drugs on the cruise ship in which Shah Rukh’s son was arrested.

The SIT, led by senior officer Sanjay Kumar Singh, reached Mumbai on Saturday (November 6) a day after the NCB transferred six cases. The federal agency had also summoned Arbaaz Seth Merchant and Achit Kumar, who appeared before the authorities on Sunday.

Why Aryan Khan was arrested?

The star kid was detained and later arrested after the NCB raid on the Mumbai-Goa cruise in October 2021. He was arrested along with Arbaaz Seth Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha and others in the alleged rave party case. A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.

Aryan was released on bail on October 30. The Bombay High Court had granted him bail on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. As per the terms of the bail order, Aryan had to surrender his passport before the sessions court. He was also instructed not to leave Mumbai without informing the investigating officer.

Aryan visited the NCB office in Mumbai to mark his weekly appearance as his bail conditions require him to appear before the authorities every Friday between 11 am and 2 pm. This was his first appearance in the NCB office after his release from Arthur Road Central Jail.
