Drones will soon become a part of common man’s life: PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that M-drones and allied services are fast emerging as a sector with immense potential for employment generation.

He said that drones will soon become an integral part of the life of the common man.

Inaugurating India’s biggest drone festival – India Drone Festival 2022, here in the national capital, the Prime Minister said the country is shrugging off its “apathy” towards technology in governance and is embracing “good governance ideas”.

Technology has been made accessible to the common man and is no longer an “elite affair”. And now it is seen as a solution to the problem rather than a problem.

“Eight years ago we started implementing new mantras of good governance. He said that easiness and went prioritized ease of doing business in running life on the path of minimum government and maximum governance.

“Technology was presented as anti-poor, and because of this, there was an atmosphere of apathy towards the use of technology in governance prior to 2014. The poor, the underprivileged, the middle class suffered the most. We want technology to reach the common people, the middle class first and we are working in that direction.

UPI structure of India has been adopting technology is an excellent example of a country that has extended successfully.

Stating that technology will create disruption, the Prime Minister said, the Center will continue to encourage drone technology as a part of its commitment to good governance and ease of living.

“Drone is another such smart tool which will soon become a part of common man’s life. We will see the use of drones in agriculture, sports, defence, disaster management and other sectors. With the advent of drones to improve quality and content, media, New opportunities will develop in sectors like film production and tourism,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister said that went through the review drone of redevelopment projects in Kedarnath. PM ownership plan is another example of how drone technology is bringing a revolution. The scheme is being digital mapping of each property in villages and people are going to the digital property card.

“Today’s farmers are comfortable with technology and drones will take our agriculture sector to the next level. Small farmers will benefit from the use of drones. I believe in an India where everyone will have a smartphone, every farm will have a drone and every household will have progress.”
