Don’t make us guinea pigs anymore: Kaustav Bagchi

What is the party’s policy in West Bengal? In this regard, the meeting of the provincial Congress leaders with the central observers became a matter of discussion on Saturday. Angry lawyer Kaustav Bagchi told the leaders of the Centre, “Please don’t make us guinea pigs now.” Which is supported by the majority leader of the Provincial Congress.

State observer Chellakumar was present on behalf of AICC in the meeting. Kaustubhbabu had expressed his anger in front of him on this day. Said, ‘What is the position of the party in West Bengal? The central leadership will be able to put a hand on its chest and say that they will never forge an alliance with the grassroots. And if it doesn’t, it’s time to leave it and move on.”

On this day Kaustavbabu had raised the question, ‘Rahul Gandhi said that regional parties are in talks with BJP. Trinamool Congress is no exception. They are trying to be an alternative to Congress at the Centre. They are denying Congress as the main opposition party in the country. So why is the central leadership holding hands again and again? Why are we being called guinea pigs again and again?’ On this day Kaustubhbabu clearly said, ‘AICC is suffering from indecision’. Chellakumar had no answer to any of Kaustav Bagchi’s questions.

Let us tell you, last month, Congress central leader P Chidambaram had reached the Calcutta High Court to fight the case on behalf of Coventry, the company that owns Metro Dairy in Kolkata. The plaintiff in the case is state Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. Kaustavbabu and other provincial Congress leaders protested around the court premises and asked why Chidambaram had come to question the accused in the case.
