Farmers from Punjab are not allowed in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, the UP government has not even allowed the helicopter of the Deputy Chief Minister of the state Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa to land in Lucknow. That is why now CM Channi himself has sought permission to come to Lakhimpur.

Actually, section 144 has been imposed after the death of farmers in Lakhimpur. The secretary of the UP government has sent a letter to the Punjab government. In the letter sent to the Chief Secretary and Home Secretary, it has been said that no person from Punjab should be allowed to come to Lakhimpur Kheri. A copy of the letter has also been sent to the DGP of Punjab in this regard.

The Uttar Pradesh Police has also asked Punjab Deputy CM Sukhjinder Randhawa and the officers accompanying him not to come to UP. After the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri, Chief Minister Charanjit Channi had instructed Deputy CM Sukhjinder Randhawa, looking after the Home Department and Kuljit Nagra, Working President of Punjab Congress, to go to UP. First they had to go by helicopter.

But as soon as he came to know about his arrival, the Uttar Pradesh government did not allow the helicopter to land at Lucknow airport. After this, he is preparing to go to Uttar Pradesh by road itself. However, he is constantly being told that Section 144 has been imposed. Won’t be allowed inside Uttar Pradesh, but still they are going.
