KALYAN: The police with help of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation demolished extended illegal portion of four dance bars in Dombivli,
The action was taken by KDMC‘s ward officer Bharat Pawar after Manpada police station under whose jurisdiction 31 bars comes found around 17 bars have made illegal construction by extending portion and by making hidden places inside bars to avoid action in case of raids.
The police sources said Shekhar Bagade senior police inspector of Manpada police station, who is known for better detection in Thane commissionerate, submitted report with KDMC demanding them to take action against illegal construction made by bars specially on Kalyan-Shil phata road.
After Bagade’s report KDMC team led by Pawar visited spot on Friday with JCB and encroachment department team and demolished illegal constructions made by four bars identified as Tourist bar, King bar, Rasila and Krishna Sai.
Pawar claimed he demolished illegal construction made in bars comes under his ward while remaining encroachment will be demolished by other ward offices.
The Kalyan-Shilphata road is known for many dance bars and in past many times police took action against dance bars were taken for violating rules. However it is also seen to avoid action these dance bars owners use hidden places inside to hide girls.
