veteran actor Neena Gupta She is currently being appreciated for her performance in the recently released film ‘Dial 100’. However, she says that she was not sure of playing the role. “I had initially turned down the role as I was unsure of portraying a gray character, but I am glad that I took up the challenge as now seeing the audience’s love for my performance, it seems That’s a great job. I am grateful to my fans. For all the love and support,” Neena Gupta said in a statement.

For the unversed, the Rensil D’Silva thriller features actor Manoj Bajpayee as a police officer who receives a distress call from Neena Gupta’s character Seema Pallava. As Manoj tries to help Neena, he soon realizes their past association has now put his wife (Sakshi Tanwar) and their child in danger.

Sakshi also spoke about her experience working with her co-stars. Sakshi told IANS, “Working with Manoj sir was very special and emotional for me. I was in Delhi’s Lady Shri Ram College where we were doing a street play and Manoj sir directed that play. It was like 30 years ago, I was a student immediately after that he moved to Mumbai and when ‘Satya’ released, for me I was like – ‘I know him, he is my first director, I will meet him when’ I will be an actress’.

“It was strange that ever since I started working as an actress in Mumbai, I never met her properly and of course, never worked together. But it was on my wish list that I was Manoj work with sir or at least meet him as an actress as i was a student at that time with dreams of becoming an actress. i wanted to meet him once and say ‘sir, you remember me, I was the student you directed for a street play!

Sakshi said, “I have maximum scenes and they are all very important, with Neenaji. In the film, there are very tense moments between these two characters. Off-camera, it was the exact opposite! Once the director says ‘cut’ ‘, we’ll just relax. I talk a lot and Nina was very welcoming to that idea, so whenever we got time, we’d have a lot to talk about! We laughed, laughed and the more I told Nina ji Dekha closer, the more I admired her. It was also the first film that I shot after the lockdown, which really gave me a sense of normalcy that otherwise I was stuck in a confined space. I would say the film Wishing me the best of luck in completing many of my tasks! I am very happy!”
