Superstar Rajinikanth has a huge fan base, which crosses the borders of Tamil Nadu. His fans watch his first day, his first show, gather in front of his house to wish him on his birthday, and make their last wish to meet him someday. Among the many ardent fans of the superstar is Muttiah from Ellis Nagar, Madurai. The 35-year-old is handicapped due to suffering from mental illness. But that hasn’t dampened the enthusiasm he has for Rajinikanth.

There are paper cutouts of Rajinikanth throughout Muttiah’s room and it also includes a picture of his mother with Rajinikanth. Yes, his mother Letsumi got a chance to meet the superstar in person in 2019 and took a picture of the same. She then appealed to the actor to provide assistance for her son’s treatment. Rajinikanth had reportedly heard her plea and promised help.

However, after 3 years, Letsumi says that there is no help from Rajinikanth yet. She has said that she had also visited Rajinikanth’s house in Chennai several times with her son Muttiah and the picture in his hand was there to remind him of his promise. However, he was chased away from the gates by the guards each time.

Letsumi has said that Muttiah always asked his mother to take him with him to the first shows of Rajinikanth’s films, whenever one released. He said that he murmurs his name even in his sleep, and hence Rajinikanth should remember his promise and help this ardent fan.

Muttiah has also said that he considers Rajinikanth to be his lifeline and it is his wish that he could act in a film with his idol.
