Divita Rai crowned LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2022 – Times of India

Karnataka’s Divita Rai has been crowned LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2022. She will be representing India in the Miss Universe 2022 pageant. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandu was present at the event to crown the new LIVA Miss Diva 2022. Pragnya Ayyagari of Telangana was declared LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2022. She was crowned by Miss Supranational Asia 2022 Ritika Khatnani.

On a night dotted with glitz and glamour, the winners were unveiled in a star-studded ceremony at Famous Studios, Mahalaxmi, in Mumbai amidst the fanfare. The event marked the significant victory of the former national winner and reigning queen Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, and hosted a special moment on-stage with former Miss Universe Lara Dutta to commemorate the milestone. Harnaaz was even honoured with the Pride of India award. Further in the evening, the achievements of former Miss Divas were highlighted, followed by the crowning of LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2022 and LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2022.

Continuing their partnership with the pageant for the third year in a row was LIVA. In the short span of this incredible partnership between LIVA and Miss Diva, we have celebrated talented, versatile, and confident young women, who have realised their potential, supported socially relevant causes and brought glory to the country. In addition, this year, the public had an opportunity to vote for the deserving queen from a pool of select talents to bag the title of LIVA Miss Popular Choice 2022. The lucky winner will win a contract to represent LIVA as LIVA Miss Popular Choice 2022. After tabulating, a combined score of online votes and the jury Ojasvi Sharma was declared the winner.

The Miss Diva delegates have made the country proud with their presence on the global map, with the most recent victory being Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu (2021), as she won the coveted crown after a long spell of 21 years. Alongside we have two Miss Supranational victories, Asha Bhat (2014) and Srinidhi Shetty (2016), whose win makes India the only country to achieve the feat of winning the title twice, and Srishti Rana’s Miss Asia Pacific win in 2013. And once again, India continues its strife to bring home the coveted crown!
