Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister Mukesh Sahni in the Nitish Kumar government has been sacked from a cabinet berth in Bihar after all three MLAs of his party joined the BJP. Bihar Governor Fagu Chauhan approved Sahni’s removal after ally BJP presented a recommendation to him.

The drama came to the fore when Sahni’s VIP not only contested the UP elections against the BJP, but also campaigned vociferously against the party. Sahni was sacked by CM Nitish Kumar last Sunday amid pressure from the BJP.
