Klaasen said he was disappointed with the crowd and suggested that the halt broke SRH’s momentum as he was dismissed on the last ball of the over.

“Frustrated with the crowd to be honest, it’s not what you want. It also broke the momentum,” Klaasen said after SRH’s innings.

In another incident, LSG pacer Avesh Khan bowled a full toss to Abdul Samad on which the batsman managed to take a single, the onfield umpire gave it a no-ball and LSG went for review which worked in his favour. Samad and his batting partner Klaasen were taken aback by the third umpire’s decision.

Klaasen also expressed his displeasure with the umpire’s call as he said, “Hopefully the umpires will be consistent. Not great umpiring either.”

Klaasen and Abdul Samad powered Sunrisers Hyderabad to a competitive 182 for six against Lucknow Super Giants in an IPL match here on Saturday.

“Not known to be a big turner of the ball, LSG skipper Krunal (2/24 in 4 overs) bowled two equally classical left-arm orthodox deliveries with drift as Sunrisers skipper Aiden Markram (20 runs But there was enough turn for 28 runs). balls) and Glenn Phillips (0),” he said.

The Proteas wicketkeeper also talked about the Hyderabad surface and said that the twin wickets of Markram and Phillips changed the momentum in quick succession.

“The wicket changed quickly in the middle. There was some spin and good bounce, some ripers (by the wickets of Krunal – Markram and Phillips.) That broke the moment, it was difficult to play hard length balls,” Klaasen said.

He also advised his spinners to bowl fast on the surface to trouble the batsmen.

The wicket needs to bowl length and slow, can’t be too full. It is not a bad wicket but it is a bit slow. Natural variations can be used. I think if the spinners can bowl quick on the wicket, the natural variations can dominate.
