Disabled, pregnant women employees of Delhi government will work from home: DDMA

Earlier, DDMA had directed all Delhi government employees engaged in non-essential services to work from home.

Amid the escalation of a Covid in the national capital, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority has exempted persons with disabilities and pregnant women employees of city government departments and agencies from coming to office. Such employees will work from home, DDMA said in an order issued on Friday.

Keeping in view the health and safety of the people, persons with disabilities and pregnant women employees are exempted from participating in duties relating to essential and non-essential services in the offices of Delhi Government Departments, PSUs, Corporations, Autonomous Bodies, Local Bodies will be given. The order said that such employees shall regularly communicate with their offices through mobile phones or email while working from home. Earlier, DDMA had directed all Delhi government employees engaged in non-essential services to work from home. However, employees associated with essential services can work from their offices.
