The manager of Kichha Sudeep received a threat letter on April 5 in which abusive language was used.
Kannada film star Kiccha Sudeep had earlier received a threat in the form of a letter just after announcing his intention to campaign for the BJP in the May 10 Karnataka assembly elections. Sudeep had also lodged a police complaint in this regard. Now the CCB officials have made an arrest in the case. Director Ramesh Kitty, considered close to Sudeep, has been detained by the police. He was also the chairman of the Kichha Sudeep Charitable Trust in the past.
The threatening letter was widely believed to be politically motivated as it came after Sudeep decided to campaign. However, the police believe that a money dispute between Ramesh Kitty and Kiccha Sudeep could be a reason for the threat letter.
Kitty said that the Kannada star cheated her after receiving an investment of Rs 2 crore from her, following which the director wrote a threat letter to Kiccha Sudeep. Police believe that there are more parties involved in the crime, and they are on the lookout for it.

Responding to the threat letter, the Vikrant Rona actor said that he is aware that someone in the film business has sent it. Responding to the threat letter, Sudeep said, “Yes, I have received the threat letter and I know who has sent it to me. I am sure someone in the film business has sent it. I will give them a befitting reply.” I will work for those people who will support me in my difficult times.” He also said that the letter had nothing to do with politics.
