Head coach Ravi Shastri, bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar will no longer be a part of the Indian cricket team’s setup.

Head coach Ravi Shastri, bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar will not be part of the Indian team Cricket Team setup now. With former India captain Rahul Dravid replacing Shastri, wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik on Cricbuzz lauded the parting trio for their achievements with the group.
The coaching staff has made India a force to be reckoned with in Tests, and have led the country to the semi-finals or finals of all major ICC tournaments, but couldn’t help the Virat Kohli-led side cross the line even once. Karthik feels that it should not be the highlight of his career, rather people should remember him for all the heights he has brought to Indian cricket.
He also spoke about how Shastri is the most successful coach in terms of victories for India. The Tamil Nadu cricketer believes that a holistic analysis of what he has achieved from India’s batting, bowling and fielding should be done and lauded for the proper assessment of Shastri’s tenure.
The veteran gloveman also lauded Sridhar for enhancing India’s fielding unit during his tenure. Karthik believes Sridhar has been brilliant in his department, with the level of fielding going up a few notches.
Bowling has been a historical problem for India, especially fast bowling has not been India’s strength overseas. Karthik explains how Bharat Arun has changed that history with bowlers taking 20 consecutive wickets in a Test match in every overseas outing.
Kohli has also relinquished the role of captain in the 20-over format. Rohit Sharma is the most preferred option as his replacement.
