Dilip Kumar health update: Saira Banu urges fans to pray for speedy recovery

Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu on Monday informed fans that the megastar’s health is improving and requested them to pray for him so that he gets discharged from the hospital.

Saira shared the news on Kumar’s Twitter handle and wrote, “We are grateful for God’s infinite mercy on Dilip Sahab that his health is improving. We are still in the hospital and request your prayers and prayers So that inshallah she remains healthy. Discharged soon. Saira Banu Khan.”

Earlier, speaking about the legendary star’s health condition, Saira had told ANI that though her health is stable, she will not be discharged yet.

Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital for the second time in a month on 30 June. The 98-year-old actor was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hinduja Hospital, Khar after he reportedly complained of breathlessness.

This is the second time this month that the veteran actor has been admitted to the hospital. On June 6, he was admitted to the hospital after breathlessness.

Saira Banu had earlier issued a statement on her Twitter account thanking fans for their love and prayers and requested everyone not to pay heed to rumours. Dilip Kumar was discharged from the hospital on June 11.

Known as the ‘Tragedy King’ of Bollywood, the veteran actor has a career spanning over six decades.

He has acted in more than 65 films in his career and is best known for his iconic roles in films like ‘Devdas’ (1955), ‘Naya Daur’ (1957), ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ (1960), ‘Ganga Jamuna’ Known for. (1961), ‘Kranti’ (1981), and ‘Karma’ (1986). He was last seen in ‘Qila’ in 1998.
