Recently, the sister of filmmaker, popular Bollywood Choreographer Farah Khan made an appearance on the show during the family week. He celebrated his birthday with Sajid. Farah also interacted with other contestants and gave them amusing nicknames. She also had an emotional moment with Shiv Thackeray, Abdu Rozic and MC Steyn, whom she called her ‘new-born brothers’.

Did you know that the now famous B’town siblings had a rough childhood? Yes, Farah and Sajid may have done well in the industry and carved a niche for themselves in their respective fields, but the pair once had to struggle a lot.

In one of the episodes, Sajid Khan recounts how his father, Kamran, was a film director, and was doing well financially. But his life took a turn when one of his father’s films didn’t do well. Sajid shares that after losing all his savings, Kamran indulged himself in alcohol, which had a negative effect on his health. When his father passed away, the family did not even have money for his last rites.

Sajid revealed that it was Salim Khan, Salman Khan’s father, who finally gave him some money. Then, they were able to properly perform funeral rites and even buy food for themselves for a few days.

Earlier in an episode of Indian Idol 13, Farah also talked about her days of struggle. According to the choreographer-filmmaker, she said that she and her family had spent six years living in a store room at a relative’s house. He said he gets angry when people call him privileged. When he narrated how he struggled to say goodbye to his father as he had only Rs 30 when he passed away.
