Bollywood Actress and environmental activist Dia Mirza recently shared an unseen picture from her wedding with Vaibhav Rekhi to celebrate National Handloom Day. Diya wore a beautiful red and gold saree from Raw Mango at her wedding. In her post, the actress talked about the effort and precision put into their work by the artisans. Diya also urged fans to celebrate and appreciate the rich heritage of India.
On Instagram, he wrote, “There is so much to love, respect and treasure about our #IndianHandlooms!!!” Saluting the mastery of the craftsmen and women, she continued: “Have you ever seen our master craftsmen/women at work. ? It is easily one of the most mesmerizing processes. The precision and fluidity with which they are The hands and feet move, they are in perfect sync with the rhythm of the loom and the poetry in motion… These craft forms are ours to celebrate everyday.”
He further wrote, “On National Handloom Day, August 7, let’s come together to celebrate India’s culturally rich and incredible fabrics. Let’s appreciate the hands behind the looms that meticulously weave the finest fabrics work.”
The actor recently gave birth to their first child, Avyan Azad Rekhi. She wrote a long note to thank her well wisher. Avyan was born prematurely and was taken care of in the neonatal ICU.
Dia Mirza married Mumbai based businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in an intimate ceremony on February 15, 2021. Diya announced her pregnancy with a picture from her honeymoon trip to Maldives.
On the work front, Dia was last seen in Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad, starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. He was also seen in the Telugu film Wild Dog, which starred Nagarjuna Akkineni. The film was directed by Ahishor Solomon and also starred Saiyami Kher and Ali Raza in lead roles.
