Dhanush starrer Thiruchitrambalam’s second single to release on July 15

Tamil superstar Dhanush’s upcoming film Thiruchitambalam is in the post-production stage. Now, the makers have announced to unveil the second song titled Megham Karukkatha on 15th July.

Sun Pictures, which is spearheading the project, shared the news on Twitter. “Second single from #ThiruChitrambalam #MeghamKarukkatha releasing on 15th July,” read Sun Pictures’ tweet.

The team made the announcement by releasing a 30 second promo from the upcoming song. It features Dhanush in a romantic setting with Nithya Menon and Raashi Khanna.

Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music, and it marks the reunion of Ravichander and Dhanush after seven years. The song has been written and sung by Dhanush himself.

Thai Kelavi, Thiruchitambalam’s first single, was released on 24 June and its lyrics were penned by Dhanush.

The story of the film is set in the backdrop of two periods – one of the protagonist’s college days and the other of his adulthood. The character is linked to two love interests- during his college days and in the latter part of his life.

Directed by Mithun Jawahar, the film marks the fourth collaboration of Dhanush and the director. The two have already worked together in films like Kutty, Yaradi Ni Mohini and Uthamputhiran.

Set to be a family entertainer, the actor will be seen alongside three female leads Nithya Menon, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Raashi Khanna. The film also stars Prakash Raj and veteran director Bhrithiraja in pivotal roles.

Amidst a hectic schedule of working in multiple films in different languages, the actor wrapped up the shooting of his portions for the film in October last year.

Thiruchitrambalam will be Dhanush’s first theatrical release after Karnan, Jagme Thandiram, Atrangi Re and Maran, which went for a direct-to-streaming release.
