New Delhi: South Indian actor Dhanush said he and his wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth, veteran actor Rajinikanth’s elder daughter, have decided to part ways after 18 years of marriage. Dhanush took to social media to announce their separation.

“18 years together as friends, as couples, as parents and as well-wishers of each other… The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjustment and adaptation… Today we Standing at a place where our paths diverge… Aishwarya and I have decided to separate as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better,” Dhanush tweeted on Monday. .
“Please respect our decision and give us the necessary privacy to deal with this. Om Namashivaaya. Spread the love,” it added.
Aishwarya too shared the same post on her Instagram handle with the caption, “No caption needed…only your understanding and your love needed!”
Dhanush and Aishwarya tied the knot on 18 November 2004. They are the parents of two sons.
Dhanush was last seen in director Aanand L Rai’s Atrangi Re, which released on Disney+ Hotstar in December 2021. Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan were also in this film.
