Actor Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya on Monday announced their separation after 18 years of being together. Both announced this on social media platforms. He shared, “Today we stand at a place where our paths are different… Please respect our decision and give us the privacy we need to deal with it.”
Dhanush wrote a long note and said, “18 years together as friends, couple, parents and well wishers of each other… the journey has been of growth, understanding, adjustment and adaptation… Aishwarya and I Have decided to separate as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better.”
Aishwarya, who is superstar Rajinikanth’s elder daughter and a director-singer by profession, also shared the same post on her Instagram handle and wrote in the caption, “No caption needed… only your understanding and your love is required !”
Dhanush and Aishwarya married in a traditional South Indian ceremony on November 18, 2004 and are parents to two sons.
