Dhanbad judge’s death: CJI talks to Jharkhand HC Chief Justice India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The death of a judge in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad after he was allegedly trampled on the road resonated in the Supreme Court on Thursday.
Chief Justice NV Ramana said he has spoken to the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court, who has taken up the matter on the judicial side.
The Jharkhand High Court has now taken suo motu cognizance of the incident.
Video footage of the incident shows a three-wheeler hitting the Additional District Judge pure bliss From behind, when he was jogging on a deserted stretch of road in Dhanbad.

Supreme Court Bar Association president Vikas Singh mentioned the incident before the CJI and said that the investigation into the murder of a senior judicial officer should be handed over to the CBI.
He said the judge was targeted for denying bail to a gangster, and it was “an open attack on the independence of the judiciary”.
Singh said the video of the incident was taken by someone who had prior knowledge of the attack.
The incident took place near the judge’s residence in Dhanbad’s Magistrate Colony locality on Wednesday morning.
Local people took him to the hospital, where he died.
