Punjab’s acting DGP Gaurav Yadav has given an ultimatum to the criminals. He said that he should leave Punjab or face the consequences. On Saturday, the police carried out an extensive checking campaign in 28 police districts across the state. The district police under the leadership of ADGP level officers conducted the checking. DGP Gaurav Yadav himself also reached Kharar for checking.

Zero tolerance policy on drugs and gangsters
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the police in Punjab has a zero tolerance policy on drugs and gangsters. He said that the way checking was done in entire Punjab today, similarly it will be done in future also. This will continue till gangsters and drugs are eliminated from Punjab.

Operation lasted from 11 to 3 o’clock
Punjab Police conducted Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on Saturday. The campaign went on from 11 am to 3 pm. In this, officers from ADGP to DIG level led the district police. During this, many suspects were taken into custody and interrogated. However, nothing big was found in the hands of the police. However, the police took this initiative to instill confidence among Punjabis concerned about law and order.
