dgp: Be a gentleman: Karnataka girl student protesting hijab ban seeks DGP’s help | Mysuru News – Times of India

UDUPI: Aliya Assadione of the six Government PU College for Girls students who have been protesting against the hijab ban since the last week of December, claimed that they are being harassed by “random people” and urged the DGP and the IG to take action.
In a tweet in which she tagged the DGP, Assadi said: “Since the college leaked our private details, we got abusive calls from unknown numbers at the beginning and now they are entering homes forcefully and harassing us. Trying all the ways to let us down. Stop this cheap works and be a gentleman (sic). ” The students claim that reporters of a news channel went to their homes with hidden cameras and secretly filmed them.
Sources close to Assadi’s family said that she and the other girls are staying with relatives because “random people” are visiting their homes.
Rudre Gowda, the principal of the college, said the six students have not been attending classes.
