Congress leader Pawan Khera said that our concerns need to be addressed as we are about to enter sensitive areas of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.

The Congress on Wednesday alleged that there was a lapse in the security of senior party leader Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi. Showing a video showing no police security around Gandhi, the Congress said the leader himself had to disperse the crowd.

Addressing a press conference, Congress leader Pawan Kheda said, “AICC general secretary KC Venugopal has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the security lapse. Rahul Gandhi, Another FIR has been lodged at Sohna police station, where IB officials were seen in the Congress van.”

The Congress said some unauthorized persons were seen entering a container carrying passengers. When caught, they said that they had gone to use the washroom, while there were washrooms outside. Later, it was learned that the intruders were from the police, the party claimed. Earlier, Jairam Ramesh said that the Intelligence Bureau is interrogating the people who meet Rahul Gandhi on a tour.

He further said that all the security breaches are being done in a very planned manner. “They (BJP) are trying to disrupt the yatra. Initially they held us responsible for Covid, but on Tuesday the Speaker of Lok Sabha went to a hospital without a mask. ,

In the letter, Venugopal said Delhi Police officials also failed to maintain a perimeter for Rahul Gandhi, who has been given “Z plus security”.

“Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, the two prime ministers of the Congress party, sacrificed their lives for the unity and integrity of the country. On May 25, 2013, the entire state leadership of the Congress in Chhattisgarh was wiped out in the Naxalite attack in Jeeramghati.
