The 21-day furlough of Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim has ended. Ram Rahim reached Sunaria Jail at 11:50 am. In view of the arrival of the Dera chief, the security of the jail has been increased and the surrounding area has also been cordoned off.

After the furlough was over, Ram Rahim left the Namcharcha house of the Dera in Gurugram at around 11:00. After traveling for about 55 minutes, Ram Rahim reached Sunaria Jail. A long convoy of 10 vehicles accompanied him. More than 100 police force was deployed on the spot in Sunaria jail. While ASP Krishna Kumar Lohchab, DSP Sajjan Singh were present on the spot.

Sirsa Dera chief Gurmeet Ramrahim, who is serving a sentence in the Sunari jail in the murder and rape case, was granted furlough on February 7. The furlough ended on Sunday and he surrendered in jail. So far no statement has been issued by the government regarding increasing the furlough of Ram Rahim.

Ram Rahim was sentenced in 2017 by a special CBI court for raping two sadhvis. After the violence in Panchkula, Ram Rahim was sent to Sunaria jail by helicopter. Since then he was in jail. After this he was also sentenced for the murder of journalist Ramchandra Chhatrapati and Dera manager Ranjit Singh.

If sources are to be believed, it was discussed in the meeting that the Dera and its followers are very angry with the questioning of Baba Ram Rahim in jail during the Congress rule in the sacrilege case.

Z plus security provided during furlough

Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim was given Z plus security during furlough. Regarding Z plus security, a letter was written on behalf of ADG CID to Rohtak Range Commissioner. It was informed that inputs have been received from the Ministry of Home Affairs that Ram Rahim is under threat from Khalistan-backed terrorists. He has been receiving threats even before the sentence. In view of this danger, it is necessary to tighten the security of Gurmeet Ram Rahim. At the same time, the Haryana government had made it clear by handing over the complete records to Ram Rahim against the furlough in the High Court that the decision of furlough has been taken as per the prescribed procedure.

Following the order to provide Z+ security during the furlough period, the number of police officers at the Namcharcha Ghar of the Dera in Gurugram was increased. Ram Rahim, who lived in Gurugram during furlough, had his mother and Honeypreet also reached.

In this case, SP Rohtak Uday Singh Meena says that the 21-day furlough of Ram Rahim is ending on Sunday. He reached the jail on Monday. The jail administration has been alerted. The duty of a senior officer has been imposed on the spot.
