Deputy Secretary in CM Kejriwal’s office, LG of Delhi suspends 2 SDMs for corruption: Sources

A deputy secretary and two sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs) in Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s office have been suspended by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on charges of corruption, official sources said on Wednesday. Sources said that Prakash Chandra Thakur, posted as Deputy Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office, Harshit Jain, SDM Vasant Vihar and Devendra Sharma, SDM, Vivek Vihar, have been suspended and disciplinary action has been ordered against them.

A source said the move reflects LG Saxena’s commitment to zero tolerance towards corruption and ensuring integrity in the functioning of the government. The Lieutenant Governor had on Monday suspended two assistant engineers of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for finding lapses in the construction of EWS flats in Kalkaji Extension.
