Kolkata’s Chief Administrator Firhad Hakim in protest against the protest of traders going on distribution of stalls. The incident took place at Hazra Park near Mamata Banerjee’s house on Saturday, leading to a clash between traders and a section of the grassroots. Seeing the strange situation, it means that Firhad left the area. But the traders are protesting at the ground level as the problem is not resolved.

On Saturday, Firhad met 16 traders who were shifted to Hazra Park to build Kalighat Sky Walk. Leaders like Vaishnav Chatterjee and Debashish Kumar were also present. And as soon as he arrived, he felt that the anger had reached any point. Some traders complained that there was widespread corruption in the stall bill with the help of some local young grassroots leaders.

Due to this allegation, traders started protesting around Firhad. The commotion started. Then the ground thugs took the name of the ground. They tried to disperse the protesting traders. Which increases the tension further. Once there is a clash. Traders further demanded that it would cost Rs 50,000 to shift the shop. The cost of this will be borne by the municipality.

Firhad immediately left the area due to the protest. Earlier, he said, ‘If we listen to everyone’s complaints, then the work cannot go ahead. He has some complaints. There are some problems with the committee. I have asked to meet him. The work of removing the stalls will start from the end of this month. 10,000 will be paid to the traders for the cost of removing the stalls.
