Protests are being held by political parties in Chandigarh against the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. Recently, the Aam Aadmi Party demonstrated and gheraoed the MLA Hostel. During this, AAP workers also clashed with the police. Police have now registered a case against AAP MLAs and workers for disrupting law and order. Sector-3 police station has registered a case against about 600 workers including AAP MLA Aman Arora, Master Baldev Singh, Kulwant Singh, Manjit Singh, Jarnail Singh, Jai Kishan, Kulwant Singh under 353, 332, 188 and 186.

On Wednesday, Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers demonstrated in Chandigarh. A large number of AAP Chandigarh workers had protested by gheraoing the MLA Hostel around one o’clock in the afternoon and raised slogans fiercely. A large number of police forces were deployed at the spot to stop the protesters. The police had barricaded. But during this, after a scuffle with the police, AAP leaders and workers tried to remove the barricading. Even after being stopped by the police, you workers kept on moving forward. The police used water cannons to control the situation. Police tried to disperse the protesters by using water cannons. Several workers were injured due to the strong water cannons. But the police have accused the protesters of obstructing law and order.
