Panjim: Located in Goa National Institute of Oceanography ,NIO) has installed the tech-demo of green muscle culture on one floating raft Feather See, in sync with the flagship programmes, Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swayampurna Goa.
The Tech-Demo of Green Muscle Culture was recently inaugurated by Chief Secretary Parimal Rai in the presence of NIO Director Sunil Kumar Singh and other scientists.
The skill training program is expected to increase employment opportunities for coastal rural stakeholders, especially the residents of Reis-Magos. In line with the Government of India’s mission program on ‘Skilled India’, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) under the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research is implementing a program ‘CSIR Integrated Skills Initiative’. A Tech-Demo was organized to support these efforts.
An interaction session will be held with the stakeholders regarding various skill training programs being organized by NIO.
