Delhiites Beware! Fresh wave of cold spell to sweep Delhi-NCR, temperature to dip to 3°C

New Delhi: Cold wave conditions are likely at many places in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) next week and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 3 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department said on Saturday. The national capital on Saturday recorded a minimum temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal. The city is likely to witness partly cloudy sky during the day, he added. The humidity was recorded at 88 per cent at 8.30 am, the IMD said. IMD said that between January 16 and 18, cold wave will prevail at many places in Delhi-NCR. The minimum temperature on Tuesday and Wednesday in Ayanagar and Ridge could be around 3 degree Celsius.

The maximum temperature is expected to be 21 degree Celsius.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the overall air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 374 (very poor) at 9 am.

An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
