Police said that AIIMS doctors handed over a suicide note and viscera to the police. “We have registered a case under Indian Penal Code sections 306 (abetment to suicide), 376 (rape) and 313 (abortion without consent of woman) and further investigation has been conducted,” the DCP said. Police said the woman’s husband, who worked in a private firm in South Extension, was also called in for questioning, who told the police that he and his wife had separated about eight years ago. He said that raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
