Mango Day at Samavar, The Ashoka

Showcasing the divinity of one of our most favorite summer fruits – Mango, The Ashoka is organizing a two-day Mango Culinary Festival on the occasion of World Mango Day starting Saturday, 22nd July. The Ashok’s coffee shop, The Samavar, will host. The two-day mango festival begins on July 22.

Guests will be treated to a specially curated four-course meal, showcasing an array of delicious mango-inspired dishes. The menu includes exquisite dishes such as Mango Arebola, Raw Mango Biryani with Rogani Gravy, Spaghetti in Mango Saffron Sauce, Grilled Chicken with Mango Avocado Salsa and Ambia Fish Curry with Steamed Rice. As a delightful finale, guests will be served Mango Cheesecake and Mango Amaranth Phirni, which will satisfy their sweet tooth with exquisite flavours.

Ankush Safaya’s ‘Memory Trace/Dapan (…so it is said)’ was presented by Latitude 28 in association with Sakshi Gallery. Safaya’s works act as catalysts for memories, conjuring up deep places of memory.

Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, literature and music, the artist weaves together reconstructions and re-imaginings of the past while uncovering the complexities of life. Safaya’s works exude a serene calmness, yet upon closer examination, they reveal a pulsating kinetic energy, conveying profound messages of the human experience. With a unique blend of engineering and artistic vision, Ankush reconstructs destroyed structures and mechanisms, giving rise to new forms characterized by balance and rhythm.

Each artwork in this exhibition is a testimony to her mastery of transforming ideas into expressive art, inviting the viewer to embark on their own introspective journey of memories and relationships.
