Police and Peace Committee meeting
DCP North West Usha Rangnani said that eight police personnel and one civilian were injured in the violence. A sub-inspector has been shot by miscreants. He is hospitalized and his condition is improving. He further told that after the violence, a meeting of the Aman Committee was held, in which an appeal has been made to the people to maintain peace.
After the violence, a meeting has been held between the Delhi Police officer and the Peace Committee to establish peace.
He said- miscreants also started arson here. Swords and bullets were also fired. The police have arrested 14 people in this case. First 9 people were caught, then 5 people were arrested. According to the police, there is tension in the area, but the situation has been brought under control. Two companies of RAF have been deployed there. Police are deployed in all sensitive areas of Delhi and there is a high alert here.

Situation under control amid tension
The area was monitored by night vision drones. Special Police Commissioner Deependra Pathak told late on Saturday night that the investigation has been started after registering an FIR. Pathak said that the situation is completely under control. The atmosphere is peaceful now. We are in constant touch with the people and are appealing to maintain peace and ignore rumours. Adequate number of police officers are present here for security.
RAF personnel are continuously patrolling in the area of violence.

Delhi Police has constituted 10 teams to investigate the nuisance. The investigation of the case has been handed over to the Crime Branch.

There was a sudden stone pelting on the procession near Kushal Cinema of Jahangirpuri at around 5:30 pm. After this a clash broke out between the two groups. Several vehicles were vandalized. Some vehicles were also set on fire. The police team that reached the spot also came under its grip.
Delhi Police PRO Anyesh Rai said- It was a traditional procession that takes place every year. The policemen accompanying the yatra handled the situation. Additional police forces have been called from several police stations after the incident. Rapid Action Force has marched in the area.

During the agitation regarding CAA and NRC, riots broke out in Delhi on the night of 23 February 2020.
