Delhi records 94 new coronavirus cases, 7 deaths

94 new cases of corona virus were registered in Delhi on Sunday. With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in the national capital has crossed 14.34 lakh, while the death toll has gone up to 24,995. According to the latest bulletin issued by the Health Department of Delhi, seven deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 positivity rate in the national capital stood at 0.13 per cent.

Delhi government allows reopening of stadiums, sports complexes without spectators from monday

According to an order issued by the DDMA, the Delhi government has allowed the reopening of stadiums and sports complexes in the city without spectators from Monday.

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), in its order on Sunday, said standard operating procedure and other government guidelines will be strictly followed and COVID-appropriate behavior will be followed while opening stadiums and sports complexes.

However, cinema halls, multiplexes, theatres, swimming pools, spas, schools and colleges will remain closed, and gatherings of all kinds, social, political, cultural, religious and otherwise, are prohibited, it said.

The DDMA said that Delhi Metro trains and public transport buses will continue to run with 50 per cent of their seating capacity.

The order stated that the situation of COVID-19 in Delhi was reviewed, and it was observed that the number of coronavirus patients and the positivity rate have come down significantly, and the overall situation has improved.

The case tally in the national capital stands at 14,34,554, which includes 14,08,567 patients who have either been discharged or migrated or have been cured. The number of active cases is 992, of which 300 are in home isolation.
