Delhi Nursery Admissions 2023-24: Registration Begins Today, Apply Till Dec 23

Nursery admissions in Delhi have started from today, December 1, 2022. The last date for submission of applications is 23 December. Parents who wish to enroll their children can do so by providing information on the Delhi Directorate. education Website- edudel.nic.in

As per the official announcement by the Directorate of Education, the admission process is underway for entry-level classes in over 1,800 private schools in the capital city for the academic year 2023-24.

Only a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 25 is to be paid for registration, and parents are not required to buy the prospectus of the schools. The last date for submission of applications is 23 December.

The preliminary list of selected students will be published on January 20 next year. The queries (if any) of the parents against the first list will be resolved between January 21 and January 30.

Thereafter, DoE will release the second list of selected candidates and waiting list on February 6, 2023. Queries of parents (if any) against the second list will be resolved from February 8 to February 14, 2023.

The last date for this selection process is March 17. As on March 31, 2023, the age of the student should be four years to be eligible for nursery admission, five years for KG (pre-primary) and six years for class 1.

It has been underlined that all private schools will mandatorily have to reserve 25 per cent of their seats for economically weaker sections (EWS), members of disadvantaged groups and children with disabilities.

The notification also directs all the schools in Delhi that there shall be no deviation from the schedule issued by the DOE. The exact schedule is requested to be displayed by each educational institution on its notice board and website. Further, they have been directed to ensure that the applications for admission are received by the applicants before the last date of submission.
