Delhi Kanjhawala case: Victim died due to shock, head injury, reveals post-mortem report

The Delhi Kanjhawala case has shaken the nation. The horrifying incident in which a 20-year-old woman named Anjali Singh died in the early hours of New Year after her scooty was hit by a car and dragged under the vehicle for 13 kms on city roads . In a recent development in the Kanjhawala case, the postmortem report of the woman said that death was due to shock and injuries to the head, spine and limbs. Moreover, according to sources, the 20-year-old woman has denied any sexual assault on the deceased as no injury marks were found on her private parts.

“The post-mortem report has been received which states that the provisional cause of death is due to shock and haemorrhage due to injuries to the head, spine, left femur and both the lower limbs. All the injuries have arisen. Special commissioner (law and order) Sagar Preet Hooda said, “Blunt force impact and with vehicle accident and dragging is possible.”

The Special Commissioner of Police said, “Moreover, the report indicates that there is no injury of sexual assault. The final report will be received in due course.” The woman, Anjali, was dragged for about 13 km from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala as her clothes got caught in the wheel of the car she was riding the scooty.

Police have arrested five people who were in the car at the time of the incident. They have been identified as Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishna, Mithu and Manoj Mittal.

Amit (25) works with SBI Card in Uttam Nagar, Krishna (27) works at the Spanish Culture Centre, Mithun (26) is a hairdresser in Naraina, while Manoj Mittal (27) is a ration dealer in Sultanpuri, who is a BJP worker. He is also a worker.
