Delhi government to issue revised covid guidelines today as infections in growing children

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that the Delhi government may issue guidelines for schools following a slight increase in COVID-19 cases in the capital. Delhi on Wednesday reported 299 new COVID-19 cases, a jump of 118 per cent in two days. According to the data shared by the city’s health department, the positivity rate was 2.49 per cent. The positivity rate in February was 0.5 percent.

“I have received reports in the past few days from some schools where parents have reported their child testing positive. The education department will issue guidelines to schools in this regard tomorrow.”

“COVID cases have increased slightly but there has been no increase in hospitalizations, so we need not worry. There is no need to panic but be careful. We have to learn to live with COVID. We are continuously monitoring the situation.”
