delhi government starts online yoga classes for kovid patients in home isolation

New Delhi: Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the Delhi Chief Minister briefed the people of the national capital about the AAP government’s ‘Delhi ki Yogshala’ initiative for COVID positive patients who are in home isolation.

Kejriwal said that the Delhi government will introduce special yoga/pranayama classes in home isolation for Kovid-positive patients as yoga boosts immunity and will help them recover faster.

Referring to the schedule details, Delhi CM classes will be available from 6 am to 11 am and patients can register anytime. However, no more than 15 patients are allowed in a batch, so the yoga instructor can focus on each patient.

“We will send them a link today and classes will start in different batches from tomorrow,” he said.

Amid the rising number of Covid-19 cases, the Delhi government on Tuesday directed the closure of all private offices, except in the exempted categories.

Private offices, which were functioning with 50 per cent workforce till now, have been asked to follow the practice of work from home.

An order issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority has also directed the closure of restaurants and bars in the city. However, restaurants have been allowed to carry home delivery and food items.
The city government offices are also functioning with 50 percent attendance at this time.

Delhi reported 17 more deaths in a day due to COVID-19 and 19,166 infections, according to city health department data on Monday, as the positivity rate rose to 25 per cent, the highest since May 4 last year. is the most.

The city had reported the same number of Kovid deaths on Sunday as well. In just 10 days, Delhi has recorded 70 Covid deaths.

The 22,752 new cases reported on Sunday were the highest since May 1 last year, when the city saw 25,219 infections with a positivity rate of 31.61 per cent.
