Delhi Flood Update: Avoid THESE Water-Logged Routes While Travelling In National Capital

Heavy rain lashed parts of Delhi on Saturday, affecting traffic in the national capital. Now the problem has become more serious due to water logging on the roads and uprooting of trees at many places. To help commuters avoid congestion, the Delhi Traffic Police late on Saturday night issued an advisory to avoid certain routes in the national capital. Significantly, these roads are still waterlogged, so there may be a problem for people traveling through these routes.

As per advisory, commuters are advised not to travel from Khan Market, Teen Murti Gol Chakkar, Bhairon Marg, GGR-PDR, A-Point to W-Point, Kamla Express Building, Andrews Ganj, Khanpur T-Point and Under Railway Bridge Is given. Other routes including Bhairon Marg are still waterlogged.

As per the latest updates, people are advised to stay away from Ring Road near IP flyover from Rajghat to Nizamuddin Carriageway. Commuters can take alternate routes via Shanti Van, Rajghat, JLN Marg and BSZ Marg to avoid the stretch.

Severe water-logging was reportedly witnessed in these areas following heavy rains on Saturday. The travelers were saddened by how difficult it was for them to get where they wanted to go. Besides, trees were uprooted at places like Tughlaq Road after the rains, disrupting vehicular movement.

Delhi Traffic Police’s advisory said, “Due to rain in the evening, some roads have been affected due to water-logging and fallen trees. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and travel at their own convenience.” Avoid these parts for.”

There have been several reports of people battling water-logging on the roads since Saturday’s rains. Social media platforms are now flooded with videos and pictures of people trying to wade through water-logged roads by pushing their two-wheelers while four-wheelers make their way through such roads.
