Second list of shortlisted students will be out on 6th February

The first list of students shortlisted for admission to entry-level classes in over 1,800 private schools in Delhi will be published by the Delhi government’s directorate on Friday. Education (DOE) said.

The DOE said on Thursday that the names along with the waiting list would be issued on notice boards and on the official website of the schools.

The second list of shortlisted students will be out on February 6.

The child must be at least four years old to fill the form for nursery admission. The age limit for admission to Kindergarten is at least five years and for Class 1 at least six years by March 31, 2023.

The registration process for admission to entry-level classes for the 2023-24 academic session in over 1,800 private schools in Delhi began on December 1 and ended on December 23.

“No deviation from the above schedule shall be permitted. Every school shall display the aforesaid admission schedule on its notice board and website. Further, every school shall ensure that the admission schedule is available to all applicants by the last date of submission of applications for admission.” be done,” the DOE circular had said.

It had said that only a non-refundable amount of Rs 25 can be taken as admission registration fee. The purchase of the school prospectus by the parents shall be optional.

As per the circular, all private schools will reserve 25 per cent seats for students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantaged Group (DG) as well as children with disabilities.
