A few days after the Delhi government sent a proposal to the Lieutenant Governor’s office to allow teachers to go to Finland, Saxena asked the government to do a cost-benefit analysis of the programme.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday wrote to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena asking him to approve the government’s proposal to send government school teachers to Finland for a training programme.

A few days after the Delhi government sent a proposal to the Lieutenant Governor’s office to allow teachers to go to Finland, Saxena asked the government to do a cost-benefit analysis of the programme.

In the letter, Sisodia said that “politics” should not be played on “such sensitive issues” and urged Saxena to clear the file.

“The file is circulating in your office since October last year. The file was sent to you again on January 20, but no decision has been taken so far.

He said, ‘If the file is not cleared, the proposed training of teachers in March will also not happen.’

Sharing the letter on Twitter, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also urged the LG to allow teachers to participate in the training programme.

“I urge the Honorable LG to allow our teachers to go abroad for training. Hon’ble LG himself said that he is not against it.
