Delhi: 3 Metro stations to remain closed on Saturday for security reasons – check timings, other details

Three stations of Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line will remain closed from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday.

Delhi Metro Yellow Line station closed: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has said that it will keep three stations on the Yellow Line route closed on Saturday for security reasons. This decision has been taken on the advice of Delhi Police.

“As per the advisory of Delhi Police, due to security reasons, three metro stations of Yellow Line, University, Civil Line and Vidhan Sabha will remain closed for public tomorrow i.e. 26.06.2021 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday. ),” DMRC said in a tweet.

It may be noted that the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) has announced to hold a protest on Saturday (June 26) to mark seven months of its agitation against the three agricultural laws enacted last year.

In a statement, the SKM said that farmers at Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur border points are preparing for June 26 and they will observe it as ‘Save Agriculture, Save Democracy Day’.

The umbrella organization of 40 farmers’ unions, which is spearheading the movement against the central laws enacted in September last year, said, “Preparations are underway to celebrate June 26 as ‘Save Agriculture, Save Democracy Day’ across the country. “

Farmers have been camping at Delhi’s borders since November demanding that the laws be withdrawn and a new law to guarantee minimum support prices for crops.
