NEW DELHI: Two people died and another person was injured after a part of a crane fell on them at a construction site inside American Embassy here on Friday, officials said.
A senior police officer said PCR call was received on Chanakyapuri Police Station Regarding the incident at 1.44 pm.
According to the police, a portion of the building inside the embassy was under construction when a portion of the crane fell on three people working there.
The three youths have been identified as Kanchan (32), Babulal (32) and Mukesh (33), all residents of Dausa Rajasthan Rajasthan.
Kanchan was declared brought dead, while Babulal succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Primus Hospital, the official said.
Police said Mukesh was seriously injured in the incident and is being treated.
The official said that the three persons are not related to each other.
