Delhi: 16-year-old girl shoots mother of her rapist at a grocery shop – Read what happened

New DelhiDelhi Police has arrested a teenager for allegedly shooting a 50-year-old woman. The victim, Khurshida, was taken to GTB Hospital for treatment and her condition is reportedly stable. The incident took place on Saturday evening when the girl barged into Khurshida’s grocery shop and shot him with a pistol. According to a senior police officer, the alleged shooter is between 16 and 17 years old and had earlier lodged a police report accusing Khurshida’s son of rape.

“On enquiry, it was found that Khurshida runs a grocery shop and a girl of 16 or 17 years of age came to the shop and shot her with a pistol. Preliminary investigation further revealed that the said girl had committed crime under Section 328 Had registered a case against Khurshida’s son in 2021 under Indian Penal Code section 376 (rape) and four POCSO Act sedation with intent to cause sedation,” the officer said.

Police said the woman is undergoing treatment at GTB Hospital and her condition is stable. By the time the police reached the spot, the injured woman had been taken to JPC hospital by the locals. On investigation it was found that the alleged shooter had booked under sections 328 (giving intoxicant with intent to cause hurt) and 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code as well as four POCSO Act charges against Khurshida 2021 Son in

The police have arrested the girl and recovered the weapon used in the murder. The victim has been given first aid at JPC Hospital and has been shifted to GTB Hospital for further care. Legal action is being initiated in connection with the incident.
