New Delhi: A day after the Defense Ministry denied any transaction NSO GroupCongress leader P. Chidambaram Question on Tuesday.
“MoD has ‘expelled’ itself from any deal with the NSO group, let’s say Israel, MoD is right, which removes a Ministry/Department. What about the remaining half a dozen usual suspects? Only PM can reply on behalf of all Ministries/Departments. Why is he silent?,” Chidambaram wrote on Twitter.
In a written reply to a question by MP V. Sivadasan in Rajya Sabha on Monday, Minister of State (Defence) Ajay Bhatt said, “The Defense Ministry has no dealings with NSO Group Technologies.” The minister replied to a question whether the government has done any transaction with NSO Group Technologies.

Last week 18 leaders of like-minded opposition parties issued a joint statement calling for discussion on the Pegasus espionage issue. The statement read: “The opposition parties are firm and united in their demand for a discussion on the Pegasus issue in both the houses, the Home Minister replied, as it has national security dimensions.”
The opposition has also clearly conveyed that discussion on Pegasus should be followed by discussion on farmers’ issues and the movement arising out of three anti-farmer and black agricultural laws.
“It is unfortunate that the Government has launched a deceptive campaign to malign the United Opposition and to blame it for the continued disruption in Parliament. The responsibility for the standoff lies entirely at the door of the Government, which is arrogant and adamant and has to accept denies the opposition’s demand for an informed debate in both the houses.” Said it.
