The High Commission said that concerns about the ‘referendum’ announced by Sikhs for Justice in Melbourne and Sydney have been conveyed to the Australian Government.

High Commission of India Australia on Thursday condemned incidents of vandalism at Hindu temples in Australia, describing it as ‘deeply disturbing’ and ‘dangerous’.

The High Commission described the incidents as a clear attempt to sow hatred and division among the peaceful multi-faith and multi-cultural Indian-Australian community.

These incidents are a clear attempt to sow hatred and division among the peaceful multi-faith and multi-cultural Indian-Australian community, the High Commission said in a statement on Thursday.

It also said that the attacks indicate that pro-Khalistan elements are increasing their activities in Australia and receiving assistance from international groups.

“There are indications that pro-Khalistan elements are stepping up their activities in Australia, being actively aided and abetted by members of banned terrorist organizations such as Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and other anti-social agencies outside Australia, some clear for the time being,” the statement further said.

The High Commission also said that their concerns have been shared with the Australian Government and it is hoped that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.

He also said that concerns about the so-called referendum announced by Sikhs for Justice in Melbourne and Sydney have been conveyed to the Australian Government.

“The Australian Government is highlighted to ensure the safety and security of members of the Indian community and their properties in Australia, and not allow Australian territory to be used for activities prejudicial to the territorial integrity, security and national interest of India Is. ,” the statement added.
