Deepika Padukone’s BTS video from ‘Time 100 Impact Awards’ reveals why she changed careers

Deepika PadukoneWho was recently honored with the coveted TIME 100 Impact Award, recently shared a motivational BTS video from the prestigious award ceremony on his social media which showcases all the fun and proud moments of his celebration.

Taking to her social media, the female superstar shared an interesting BTS video, in which she mentioned, “I was 16 when I decided to change career from a competitive badminton player to an actor. I never imagined that 20 years later, I would be standing here and receiving the Time 100 Impact Award.

Throughout her illustrious career, Deepika Padukone has produced some of the finest performances in Indian cinema, many of which have received critical acclaim and have been one of the industry’s highest-grossing films of all time. After ruling and continuing as Indian cinema’s number one for over a decade, Deepika has used her status as an icon to demystify mental health struggles and raise awareness on the subject.

Interestingly, this makes Deepika Padukone the first Indian celebrity to be honored twice by Time Magazine.

A few years back in 2018, the superstar was included in Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World. With this, she became the only Indian actress to feature in the list along with names like Nicole Kidman, Gal Gadot, Greta Gerwig and Lena Waithe.
