Deepika Padukone will be seen in an action-packed avatar in Pathan. The actress also plays a detective in the film starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.
In Pathan, the actor Deepika Padukone Plays the role of a detective and has been paired opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who also plays a detective with License to Kill. While she has raised the temperature with her drop-dead gorgeous avatar in Shameless Colour, it is also clear from the trailer that she will be seen performing some high-octane action sequences in action. Earlier, director Siddharth Anand had revealed that he learned jujutsu, a deadly Japanese martial art form, with Shah Rukh. And now, he says that Deepika has done an amazing solo action sequence in the film, where she used the infamous Gatling Gun.
Talking about it, Siddharth says, “In one of the action sequences in Pathan, Deepika uses the Gatling Gun and you have to see the sequence to believe how legit she is as a real action superstar! She steals the show in this scene and I am sure people will give her the loudest applause whenever she action in Pathan.
The director, who is known for tight and stylish action films like Bang Bang (2014) and War (2019), said he has always loved watching women perform stunts in films and wanted to make sure that Deepika Emerge as a leading action star. With Pathan “There is nothing more cool or sexy than a woman wielding a powerful weapon on screen. As a movie buff, I have always loved women doing sick action sequences and hence, when we got to see Pathan Deepika Padukone, we wanted to present her in her most badass form – a gorgeous, gun-toting, femme fatale spy that people have never seen before!” he comments.
Pathan is a part of producer Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe and also stars John Abraham, who plays Shah Rukh’s arch-nemesis. The film marks the return of the superstar to the big screen after more than four years and is slated to release on January 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. On a related note, the hype around Pathan has been phenomenal. Both its songs Besharam Rang and Jhoom Jo Pathan have taken the internet by storm. It is being touted as one of the biggest grosser of the year.
