Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have gone on a secret getaway to celebrate their third wedding anniversary together. Ranveer and Deepika tied the knot in November 2018. The couple had a destination wedding in Lake Como, Italy with their close family and friends in the ceremony. The couple had two wedding ceremonies – one in the Anand Karaj ceremony and the other in the South Indian style.
According to a report in ETimes, the couple decided to spend some quality time together outside Mumbai. A source close to the couple shared, “Despite their hectic shooting schedule, Deepika and Ranveer made it a point to take some time off and relax together on their third wedding anniversary.”
The Bajirao Mastani co-stars dated for six years before getting married. Their romance blossomed on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. Although they did not confirm their relationship for more than six years, their public joint appearances and social media jokes said a lot. In addition, they always talked a lot about each other in interviews and conferences.
Talking about the wedding, Deepika told Filmfare, “There are many memorable moments. My mother is doing kanyadan. That too on November 13, when I was getting my mehendi done and the sun came out. Ranveer and I have a relationship with Sooraj. Yes, we love the sun. Everything was perfect. Not a single bag was lost, nobody missed a flight, it was all in place.”
Deepika and Ranveer have worked together in many films. These include Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmavat. They will be seen together again on screen in the upcoming film ’83’. Ranveer plays Kapil Dev while Deepika will be seen as Romi, the cricketer’s wife.
